Friday cloud news roundup: CSA, Microsoft, GSA

This week’s cloud news roundup is chock-full of information.

On The Daily Debrief, hosts Chris Dorobek and Amy Morris talked with Nils Puhlmann, one of the founders of the Cloud Security Alliance. They just released a bunch of new guidance about cloud security at their CSA Summit earlier this week.

Chris and Amy also got the latest from Microsoft’s Theresa Carlton, who says the company is now offering cloud solutions specifically for the public sector.

And speaking of the public sector, GSA has withdrawn its cloud computing request for proposal (RFQ). Chris and Amy talked with Dave McClure, associate administrator for GSA’s Office of Citizen Services and Communications about where the agency is going now that it’s made this crucial decision.

Next week, we’ll hear from both the FTC and HUD when it comes to cloud.
