  • Acumen Solutions has won a cloud computing deal with the Department of Health and Human Services — Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. There are funds in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to upgrade the nation’s Healthh IT infrastructure. GovConWire reports that the ONC is going to use cloud solutions as part of its overall development of a nationwide Health Information Exchange (HIE), and Acumen has been tasked to help.
  • Are we moving closer to cloud security standards? The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) and IEEE have joined forces to work on best practices and standards for security in the cloud. Business Wire reports that CSA and IEEE that the two groups conducted a survey of hundreds of IT professionals and will announce their findings at the Cloud Security Summit in March.
